  • Responsibilities

    Overview:

    The Lead Inspector is responsible for testing fire, security, and sprinkler systems. Looking for inspectors in the DMV Regions.  Will hire for the MD area, DC area and Norhtern VA area. 

    Job Overview:

    • Position: Lead Inspector
    • Locations: Maryland, DC, Northern Virginia
    • Openings: 3 positions

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Testing Systems: Fire, security, access, sprinkler systems, etc.
    • Documentation: Prepare work orders, deficiency reports, check-lists, and certification reports.
    • Vehicle Maintenance: Operate and maintain company vehicle.
    • Team Communication: Work with team members to certify alarm systems.
    • Customer Interaction: Explain the importance and status of fire alarm systems to customers.
    • Supervision: Oversee Assistant Tester.
    • Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs on equipment.
    • Other Duties: As required.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Technical Knowledge: Fire detection and protection equipment, NFPA alarm system requirements.
    • Customer Relations: Experience and skills in customer relations.
    • Communication: Good communication skills.
    • Training: Ability to train assistant trainees.
    • Attitude: Positive and respectful attitude.

    Education and Experience:

    • Experience: 3-5 years in the fire protection industry.
    • Familiarity: Various alarm systems, test equipment, communications equipment.
    • Licenses: Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license (sponsored by the company).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Mobility: Able to climb, crawl, and work at heights.
    • Tool Operation: Able to operate electrical tools.
    • Color Differentiation: Able to differentiate color coding of cables.
    • Lifting: Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
