    Pay: $48k-50k/annually

    Location: Remote

    PRN Physical Therapy is in search of a Lead Patient Account Representative to oversee the patient accounts department. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, in-depth knowledge of medical billing practices, and a commitment to ensuring accurate billing and outstanding patient service. The Lead Patient Account Representative will manage a team, handle complex cases, and be responsible for maintaining high standards of account management.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Team Management: Supervise and support the patient account representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Billing Oversight: Ensure accuracy in billing procedures, review claims, and handle complex billing issues or discrepancies.
    • Patient Account Coordination: Oversee the maintenance of patient accounts, ensuring timely updates and resolution of inquiries or disputes.
    • Insurance Coordination: Manage insurance verifications, address insurance-related challenges, and guide the team in navigating complex insurance matters.
    • Financial Counseling Leadership: Provide leadership in financial counseling, assist with patient payment plans, and offer expertise in managing patient financial accounts.
    • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement, implement best practices, and streamline billing and account management procedures.
    • Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports, analyze billing data, and present findings to management for strategic decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare billing or patient accounts department.
    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and process improvement initiatives.
    • Proven ability to handle complex billing scenarios and provide guidance to resolve intricate issues.
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.

    Physical Requirements:

    Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer and paperwork.

    • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use a computer keyboard and perform tasks requiring dexterity.
    • Vision: Clear vision for reading and analyzing documents.
    • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Mobility: Occasional movement within the office environment.
