Position Overview: The Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of pizzas to the highest quality standards. This role involves preparing pizza dough, sauces, and toppings, operating pizza ovens, and ensuring that all pizzas are cooked to perfection and presented attractively. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pizza, a strong understanding of cooking techniques, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare pizza dough according to recipes and specifications.
Roll, stretch, and shape dough to create pizza bases.
Prepare and apply sauces, cheeses, and toppings with attention to portion control and presentation.
Operate pizza ovens, ensuring correct temperature and cooking times for optimal pizza quality.
Monitor pizzas during cooking to ensure even baking and prevent burning.
Adjust oven settings as needed to maintain consistent cooking quality.
Ensure pizzas meet Good Pie Las Vegas standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
Make adjustments to recipes and cooking methods based on feedback and quality assessments.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory of pizza ingredients and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
Assist in the preparation of special requests or modifications as per customer preferences.
Communicate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
Support and mentor new team members as needed.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of previous experience as a pizza cook.
Strong knowledge of pizza preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment effectively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
Fast-paced kitchen environment with potential exposure to high temperatures.
