The Goddard School® located in Gilbert (East Germann), AZ is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our PreKindergarten classroom. At our School, we put our teachers first because they put our students first. Join us to create a nurturing environment for young children by implementing an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum (curriculum is provided but you can customize and get as creative as you like). Lead daily activities, inspire young minds and collaborate with a supportive team.
We have a wonderful Pre-Kindergarten program that maxes out at 20 children with 2 teachers (other programs can go up to 30!).

Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Instruction:
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
Foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods
Observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly
Classroom Management:
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly
Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support
Family Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates
Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being

Qualifications:
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required.
Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required
Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
