Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you are passionate about helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Plan games and activities that are developmentally appropriate
Develop lesson plans for each week
Provide basic care and caregiving activities
Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
Maintain classrooms by clearly outlining standards and reinforcing positive behaviors
Promoted sensory development by providing access to new and different elements
Consulted with parents to build and maintain positive support networks and support continuing education strategies.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a VPK teacher
Strong understanding of child development
Patient, kind, and nurturing, Confident
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
CDA (preferred)
DCF 45- Hour training with Compancey Exams completed for part 1 and part 2 (must have)
First aid/CPR certified
