JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Sales Associate coordinates a team of associates to process transactions, maintain the sales floor, and provide exceptional customer service. The Lead position is also responsible for opening and closing the store as assigned. ThriftSmart seeks a candidate with the skills and leadership required to contribute to the best thrift experience in Nashville.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate team to provide customers an exceptional shopping experience with the goal of driving sales and customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate team to stock and merchandise the sales floor, provide exceptional customer service, operate cash registers, and manage the cash room.
· Drive positive guest experience by maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor with attentive and responsive staff.
· Become knowledgeable in the merchandise selection and frequently asked questions regarding product selection.
· Provide customers with information related to merchandise, promotions, policies, and donations.
· Assist in arranging and stocking the floor, merchandising, and housekeeping.
· Accurately and efficiently process transactions at the register and adhere to standard cash handling procedures.
· Elevate customer requests to store management.
· Coordinate dressing room activities, delivering excellent customer service and preventing theft.
· Proactively identify risks and threats to safety and security.
· Train new employees
· Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
· Open and close store as assigned.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum Experience: 2 years of retail/customer service preferred

· Ability to work, stand and walk for 2 hours at a time.
· Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
