Lead Supplement Liaison

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Lead Supplement Liaison to join our team and play a crucial role in managing complex and problem estimates, negotiating insurance payouts, and leading the supplement liaison team.
Job Description:
As the Lead Supplement Liaison, you will be responsible for running the supplement liaison team, ensuring supplements move smoothly through the process, overseeing complex estimates, and negotiating and confirming insurance payouts. This role requires an in-depth understanding of insurance estimates, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to coordinate across teams effectively.
Experience/Qualifications:
· Must have in-depth knowledge of how to read and interpret insurance estimates.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with Xactimate and insurance company negotiations.
· Capable and confident in using new software programs.
· Experience in negotiating with insurance companies is preferred.
Skills Needed:
· Knowledge of building code.
· Strong communication skills, articulate, and thorough.
· Cross-team coordination abilities.
· Ability to manage complex situations while remaining calm.
Job Responsibilities:
· Ensure Supplements are Moving Through the Team:
o Call the insurance company on all complex and difficult-to-explain supplements.
o Review estimates and pushback items before calling the insurance, and understanding the argument for approval.
· Delegate Supplements:
o Assign supplements to Supplement Liaisons based on their skill sets.
o Coordinate with Client Coordinators to involve homeowners when needed.
· Documentation and Process:
o Clearly explain in notes why anything was denied and why approval is necessary.
o Follow the process and document in proper places to ensure consistent results.
· Training and Support:
o Teach Supplement Liaisons and serve as a resource for them.
o Follow supplements until handoff to other teams.
· Regular Touchpoints:
o Call on assigned supplements/touch assigned supplements at least twice a week.
o Complete supplement reviews with the Xcel Spreadsheet and send them to the team.
