Position Summary:

We are seeking energetic teachers to join our team and work with children aged 2-5 years old. Discovery Point uses a proprietary curriculum which includes reading, language, STEM, cooking projects and art. Our teachers often add other activities and learning experiences during the day.

One (1) year experience in child care is required to apply

Completion of 45 hours of child care training and training displayed on DCF Transcript is required to apply

CDA or CDA equivalent preferred but not required

Duties include:

Implement the proprietary curriculum

Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts

Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum

Track children’s progress and report to parents

Communicate with parents regularly regarding their child
