Lead Tennis & Pickleball Coach – Brookview

Summer 2025 | TGA of Central Hennepin County

TGA is seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Tennis & Pickleball Coach to oversee summer programs at Brookview. If you love working with kids, have strong leadership skills, and want the opportunity to grow youth and adult programming, this role is for you!

Your Role:

As the Lead Tennis & Pickleball Coach, you will:

Run tennis and pickleball summer camps for kids in grades K-8, leading instruction and ensuring quality programming.

Serve as the on-site leader, overseeing assistant and head coaches, managing groups, and ensuring smooth operations.

Break down skills in a fun and engaging way, balancing structured lessons with gameplay.

Manage group dynamics—help kids progress in a positive, encouraging environment.

Be the key point of contact for parents, handling questions or concerns professionally.

Ensure consistency across weeks so campers have a great experience and return for more sessions.

Help build our adult tennis and pickleball programming, including group lessons and private lessons.

Assist with scheduling and staffing, ensuring the right coach-to-player ratio.

Collaborate with TGA leadership to refine the program, address challenges, and improve training for other coaches.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Tennis and Pickleball Experience – Strong playing and/or coaching background. You don’t need to be a pro, but you should be confident in your ability to teach and demonstrate fundamental skills. ✔ Leadership Skills – Comfortable mentoring other coaches and setting the tone for the program. ✔ Reliability – We need someone who can commit for the full summer and be the consistent, dependable presence at Brookview. ✔ Energy & Enthusiasm – Our camps are high-energy, fun-first programs. You should bring that same attitude to the court every day. ✔ Communication & Problem-Solving – Able to handle parent questions, resolve conflicts, and adapt to different learning styles. ✔ Growth Mindset – Open to learning, improving, and taking initiative to expand programming (like adult lessons).

Schedule & Pay:

June – August 2025

Monday – Thursday, half-day camps (morning or afternoon sessions).

Open Friday for make-up days due to weather or pop-up days.

Potential for additional hours through evening adult programs and private lessons.

Pay: $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience.

Bonus opportunities available for private lessons and adult program growth.
