Our client, a trailblazer in the nutraceutical industry, is seeking an exceptional Lean Manufacturing Manager to spearhead the design and execution of a cutting-edge Lean Manufacturing Program at their North County San Diego facility. As the Lean Manufacturing Manager, you’ll champion continuous improvement, drive operational excellence, and foster a culture of innovation. Through training, mentorship, and expert application of Lean Six Sigma principles, you’ll help redefine how this organization delivers value.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a customized Lean Manufacturing Program that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
- Drive initiatives focused on continuous improvement to minimize waste, boost product quality, and maximize productivity.
- Perform value stream mapping to uncover and address inefficiencies in production and support processes.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma tools, including DMAIC, Kaizen, JIT, 5S, TPM, and Kanban, to enhance operational workflows.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to team members on Lean methodologies like A3, standardized work, and 5S, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of Lean programs and ensure ongoing progress.
- Collaborate with teams across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to integrate Lean practices throughout the organization.
- Lead root cause analyses for production issues and develop sustainable corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (from a reputable institution—training alone won’t cut it!).
- 8+ years of hands-on expertise in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement within manufacturing—experience in the supplement, food, or pharmaceutical industries is a big plus.
- Proficiency in value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and other Lean tools. Familiarity with advanced statistical methodologies like Pareto analysis, DOE, and multivariable regression.
- Exceptional team-building and leadership skills, coupled with the ability to drive change in a collaborative environment.
- A proven ability to juggle multiple initiatives and deliver results in a dynamic setting.
Compensation: $100,000-135,000 plus full benefits!
