    Job Description

    The Lean Manufacturing Specialist (BPS Implementer) is an essential role that will lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery cycle times, operational costs, and customer satisfaction. You will assure that the manufacturing plant adheres to the Bosch Production System guidelines. You will also work within a team environment focused on problem-solving, buy-in, and support the introduction of new work standards in the manufacturing sector as well as its support functions in the pursuit of operational excellence.

    Your responsibilities may include, but is not limited to:

    • Will steer optimizations in safety, quality, delivery, costs, and support new product introductions.
    • Lead or participate in GEMBA walks and drive Continuous Improvements (CI)
    • Provide improvement project leadership and/or support Cross-Functional initiatives
    • Facilitate small group meetings to brainstorm, gather information or solidify action plans
    • Collect data, analyze, and formulate improvements to existing standards or to introduce new work standards
    • Will collect data from shop floor observations, time studies, or ERP (SAP) data extracts that may include, but are not limited to inventory calculations, lot size calculations, changeover requirements, customer pull patterns, material delivery loops, storage capacities, etc.
    • Spearhead work instruction changes and train staff to new standardized work conditions
    • Steer classroom training, shop floor training, or hands-on simulations
    • Conduct post-implementation effectiveness process confirmations or audits
    • Embrace different ideas or perspectives and practice consensus leadership
    • Develop close working relationship with all manufacturing and logistic associates
    • Evaluate BPS maturity and drive maturity improvement for various Value Stream areas
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Engineering required -Industrial, Ergonomics, or Logistics preferred
    • 3+ year of Lean Manufacturing experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft products (i.e. TEAMS, Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, Power Point, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous Manufacturing experience with demonstrated process improvement know-how
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting, technical and non-technical
    • Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively across all levels
    • Strong analytical skills, and solid problem-solving abilities (i.e. 8Ds and/or PSS projects)
    • Prior Value stream mapping knowledge -ideally using MS Visio
    • Willing to manage multiple improvement projects
    • Familiarity of PFMEA, DFMEA and Control Plans

    Salary Range: The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $77,000 - $97,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
