    The Lead Production Designer will oversee production designers, ensuring cohesive brand expression across a digital ecosystem. This role involves creating high-visibility customer-facing items, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and producing templates and graphics for print and digital use. Additional responsibilities include print reviews, color proofing, and automating signage design.

    The ideal candidate is innovative and forward-thinking, with at least 6 years of graphic design and leadership experience with expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.

    Lead Production Designer Responsibilities:

    • Possess a deep understanding of design objectives and production needs and effectively communicate any concerns or questions with thoughtfulness and tact.
    • Work on highly visible and highly critiqued customer-facing items, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed to achieve design goals and maintain alignment across projects.
    • Develop design systems, templates, and best practices for high-volume, print-ready assets.
    • Create templates and graphic files with precise specifications to maintain the highest quality for print or digital delivery.
    • Conduct print reviews and review color proofs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    • Perform operational design functions for design automation, particularly for signage, enhancing efficiency and scalability.
    • Work collaboratively with marketing teams and stakeholders to design concepts that align with their goals and expectations.
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of design principles and print-specific best practices, including typography, color theory, layout, and information hierarchy.

    Lead Production Designer Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in an agency or direct-to-consumer in-house setting.
    • Experience managing a team of designers and collaborating with print vendors.
    • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (web app/platform and CS software), with expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
    • Proven production design experience across print, mobile, and web for consumer-focused brands, agencies, or color houses.
    • Skilled in interpreting and delivering artwork to technical specifications, including ink/special treatments, color separations, and print-ready files.
    • Extensive print production experience.
    • Strong portfolio showcasing print-ready and/or interactive consumer-facing work that demonstrates innovation, originality, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager Assets is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present and speak on behalf of the team.
    • Strong attention to detail.
