    POSITION SUMMARY

    Supports the Embraer Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) service centers' P3E cell, Continuous Improvement Agents and leaders, by coordinating and facilitating strategic decisions and being the liaison between the P3E Central Committee and the MRO service centers.

    JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

    Analyzes complex business situations with the department and researches alternative solutions.

    Builds customer relations internally and externally.

    Implements strategies to overcome the customer's expectations.

    Facilitates the implementation and execution of the key P3E deliverables for each level of qualification.

    Performs project planning for improvement (Kaizen, Yokoten, Project Charting, projects with probabilistic data “Lean Green Belt” to more complex issues and possibilities to analyze data, DMAIC action deployment).

    Sets up the process flows based on services/products of the NAC Value Stream Maps (VSM) with the support of P3E Cell Agents and support of the supervisors and/or managers.

    Follows up with MRO service center leaders, and other participants periodically regarding Kaizen results in order to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency.

    Defines strategic outcomes (PA Actions) and operations in a single Control Tower

    Manages and monitors plans or projects for improvement customer surveys conducted annually.

    Support P3E Agents at all MRO sites in conducting the Quality Clinics (QCPC).

    Represents the NAC in the P3E Central Committee.

    Uses essential tools for solving problems regarding the processes of the P3E program. Obtains continuous feedback from each team under each MRO cells to identify potential roadblocks, concerns and issues that need to be rapidly resolved.

    Performs periodical meetings regarding Action Plans for each MRO NAC sites.

    Encourages internal engagement, competition and tournaments and year end awards and ceremonies.

    Trains cell members for Kaizen and Yokoten programs.

    Provides reviews and comments on all A3 forms originating from any of the MRO service center cells.

    Participate and assist cell leaders in monitoring the evolution of PA and improvement plans.

    Assists in conducting and supporting presentations regarding improvement plans and programs.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree essential.

    Preferred Masters level coursework in Quality and Productivity, or related field.

    Green Belt Certification

    Experience:

    Three to five years experience in corporate quality management system activities, organization & methods systems analysis, organizational development, and process workflow analysis, preferably in the aviation industry.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    Strong knowledge of Lean practices (methods) abiding by Embraer Values.

    Able to engage team work activities based on Embraer values.

    Develop dynamic climate between cells so they can see the best practices of the values applied.

    Ability to influence people in the pursuit of continuous improvement.

    Understand the need for training to meet the training matrix gaps already identified.

    Implement Six Sigma, ISO 18001, ISO 14000, ISO9001 methodologies and DMAIC philosophies.

    Proficient in Microsoft office and other computer related skills.

    Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

    Travel may/will be required (approximately 25%). The main travel requirements will be between the MRO service centers for a duration of 1 week per remote site per quarter. Occasional international travels to Brazil and Europe are also possible. Most weekly coordination can be done through our network of live video conferencing.

    Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
