Legacy Communities is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Learning & Development Documentation Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support operations at our manufactured housing and RV communities. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong business background or industry experience, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly content. Must be skilled using MS Office (particularly Word), Adobe Acrobat, and managing documents on SharePoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain high-quality documentation and training materials, including policy and procedure manuals, quick reference guides, tutorials, and job aids
- Collaborate with corporate and community staff to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of materials
- Ensure materials adhere to company standards and branding guidelines
- Continuously update and improve documentation based on technology advances, process changes, and user feedback
- Post and manage materials on the company’s SharePoint site employing version control and content management best practices
- Coordinate training events such as webinars or in-person seminars
- Support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) on L&D-related projects or assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Education, or a related field
- Proven experience in technical writing, documentation, and content management
- Ability to translate technical information or concepts into clear, concise content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency using documentation tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint; must possess excellent knowledge of MS Word
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content management systems and version control
- Experience in a similar role with a related industry
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools such as Manage America and BackOffice
