The ideal candidate will excel in working with property owners to find lessors and determine their needs, wants, and economic feasibility. The Leasing Agent will market properties utilizing social media and websites and set up showings and open houses. Responsibilities: • Meeting potential renters and guiding them on tours of available units. • Following up on leads for potential renters. Enter all traffic into the computer daily. Discuss with prospective residents the advantages of leasing at our properties. • Performing background checks, credit checks, and other responsibilities to see if prospective renters are qualified. • Preparing leasing documents for potential renters using property standards and regulations. • Collect the security deposits and application fees. • Keeping residents informed of any changes to rental agreements or upcoming property issues. • Building a rapport with current tenants to give them personalized service. • Keeping an eye on community facilities such as mailrooms, fitness centers, and laundry rooms. • Provide tours of the apartment communities to prospective residents for the purpose of leasing apartments. • Keep accurate and detailed records of phone and walk-in traffic utilizing approved traffic logs and guest cards. • Conduct outreach marketing as needed. • Schedule resident move-ins. • Maintain organization of all key and parking assignments for residents. • Handle all resident questions, maintenance requests, payment of rent, or any other requests on a daily basis. Qualifications: • Requirements: Experience/Training: Must have previous leasing or sales experience with excellent closing abilities. We are willing to train the right person if they are outgoing, a team player, dependable, and eager to learn. • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Should have excellent social and motivational skills. Should be compassionate and have an outgoing personality with a sense of humor. Must be punctual and dependable. Must have excellent telephone skills. Must be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have proven closing skills. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and meet deadlines. Computer literacy is required for the position. • Physical Requirements: Should be able to conduct tours. Must be able to travel up and down stairs at the property; the property does have an elevator. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds in a variety of work situations. Must be able to reach, bend, and have a full range of motion. Just have the stamina to work long hours, if needed. Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
