Job Title: Leave Administrator II (Contract)
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 Annual Salary

About the Role:
As a Leave Administrator II, you will manage the organization's leave and accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, company leave policies, state and local leave laws, and disability plans. You will collaborate with employees, managers, and HR teams to guide and process leave requests, track leaves, and communicate updates. Strong problem-solving skills will be essential for resolving issues related to eligibility, leave pay, and return-to-work processes, ensuring a smooth and compliant leave experience for all.
Responsibilities:
Administer Leave Programs: Administer and ensure compliance for leave and accommodation requests under FMLA, ADA, CFRA, PDL, other state leave laws, and company programs. Oversee leave usage, maintain accurate HRIS and payroll records, and ensure timely processing of the requests.
Coordinate Return-to-Work Processes: Support and facilitate the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended leaves such as FMLA or disability, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication with stakeholders.
Provide Expert Guidance and Support: Act as a point of contact for employees, managers, and other HR teams regarding leave programs, answering questions, and providing updates. Escalate complex leave cases or issues to the appropriate HR team members or management.
Process Improvement and Data Analysis: Analyze leave, accommodation, and absence data to identify trends, conduct audits, and recommend improvements to enhance program efficiency and compliance.
Vendor Management and Collaboration: Collaborate with external leave vendors and internal teams to ensure timely processing and accurate tracking of leave cases

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of exposure to reasonable accommodations, leave, disability, and absence management programs.
Extensive understanding of various leave laws, including but not limited to ADA, FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other state and local specific leave regulations.
Strong attention to detail to accurately track and manage leave requests, durations, and return-to-work processes.
Ability to resolve complex leave-related issues such as eligibility, pay discrepancies, and documentation concerns.
Experience using HRIS and leave management systems to track leave and maintain compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide guidance and updates to employees, managers, and HR teams on leave policies and procedures.
