Overview
Technical Writer - Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will provide technical writing capabilities to Marine Corps Systems Command supply office to address compliance and adherence to Marine Corps supply policy implementation. This position will require frequent customer engagement to understand and assist in the development of policy guidance for command distribution via official command directives.
Responsibilities
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Provide technical expertise in the areas of Marine Corps supply policy
Ability to communicate effectively to help resolve issues and address questions concerning policy development
Ability to provide input, information, and review of both Marine Corps and Systems Command supply policy
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all Marine Corps Systems Command supply’s customers and supporting agencies
Ability to effectively communicate ideas orally and in writing to assist in the development of policy
Ability to assist the drafting and editing of new and updated policy documents with regards to command supply operations and audit compliance
Ability to research policy repositories and documents, and provide feedback on research results
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
Five to eight (5-8) years of professional experience, preferably in Marine Corps supply policy
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Working knowledge of Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps is a plus
Knowledge and experience in writing, reviewing, and editing Naval correspondence documents
Extensive experience and knowledge of Marine Corps, DoN, and DoD supply policy requirements
Higher education preferred, but not required
Familiarity with ETMS2 a plus
Understanding of acquisition logistics is a plus
General understanding of audit requirements is a plus
