    We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant for our busy law firm who can help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients and keep the office running smoothly. You’ll work with the team to prepare a variety of legal documents, and handle office correspondence like answering emails and phone calls, scheduling meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. If you’re an excellent multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! This is an in-office position located in Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities: • Preparation : Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents and client correspondence. • Research : Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies. • Organization: Maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible. • File Documents: Prepare and file documents with courts and other relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with legal procedures. • Maintain Calendars: Schedule appointments, meetings, and client site visits, managing attorneys' calendars effectively. • Communicate: Communication with clients and experts, providing updates, and gathering necessary information. • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in handling sensitive information. Qualifications: • Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position • Candidates should be able to type at least 50 words per minute • Proficient with MS Office products Compensation: $49,500
