We are a small Family Law firm located in Seattle, WA. Our firm specializes in cases that involve high-conflict divorce, international law, custody, and complex parenting and financial issues. This role is a great opportunity for growth within our firm. We are seeking a skilled Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals in a busy practice. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00, with the first 90 days spent in-office for training and team building. Responsibilities: • Answering incoming phone calls • Drafting and responding to correspondence • Communicating with clients, opposing parties, opposing counsel, third parties, court personnel • Managing a high volume of email and prioritization • Scheduling, calendaring, and tracking deadlines • Client file and document management • Client intake interviews • Assisting the paralegal with preparing pleadings, discovery, and other case materials • Administrative tasks • Filing Qualifications: A qualified candidate should value providing high-quality service to clients and should possess the following skills and qualifications: • Two years of family law or litigation experience • Mastery of professional administrative skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work products under strict deadlines • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Professional demeanor Compensation: $25 - $40 hourly
