  • Responsibilities

    We’re seeking a sharp legal assistant for our busy law firm who can help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients. You’ll work with the team to prepare a variety of legal documents, schedule meetings and travel, and calendar deadlines. You will meet with the clients and help with discovery. Responsibilities: • Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events • Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents a needed • Draft discovery requests and responses • Analyze discovery responses • Communicate with clients, opposing parties, the court, other law firms, and vendors in writing and via email • Calendar and manage deadlines and due dates • Support paralegals • Assist with technical and computer issues • Organize electronic and physical documents Qualifications: • Must be able to type at least 50 WPM • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position • Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products • Experience drafting NTPs and interrogatories • Experience with sending and receiving discovery • Strong computer and technical skills • Excellent writing and proofreading skills • Integrity and honesty. Old-fashioned work ethics. Arrives on time, works hard, and works well with others. No clock watchers • Good references and ability to pass a background check • Team player with good communication skills Compensation: $35,000 - $55,000
