Works in a high-level and rapidly growing plaintiffs' personal injury firm with a heavy emphasis on strategizing with attorneys, coordinating with treating physicians, clients, and insurance adjusters, paying attention to details, and treating each case uniquely to develop necessary evidence to maximum claim value for the client. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Responsibilities: • Support paralegals in all aspects of case management, from sign-up through trial (if necessary). • Performs administrative duties, client interaction, medical records, and bill retrieval. • Assists with demand preparation, open records requests, and preparation and drafting of other documents as requested by supervising paralegals. • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Prior Personal Injury pre-suit experience is preferred. • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred. • Must be a motivated, self-starter. • Works well in a team environment. • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. • Proactive, can-do, team-oriented attitude who insists on winning for our clients. • Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with the ability to think on your feet. • Able to handle sensitive, confidential matters, resolve conflicts & empathize with clients. • Must be able to understand medical terminology. Qualifications: • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 yearly
