We are searching for a full-time bilingual Legal Assistant to work in our expanding offices to replace assistants that have been promoted internally. You’ll serve as a compassionate voice to clients, receiving inbound calls from prospective clients, existing clients, and attorneys, and scheduling our attorneys for client meetings. You will also collaborate with our legal team to prepare everything necessary in creating solutions for clients seeking relief from difficult family situations. Responsibilities: The Legal Assistant’s main duties are: • Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, documenting client discussions, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines • Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals • Greet clients warmly and escort them personally to their meeting location, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable • Undertake other administrative duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Qualifications: The Legal Assistant position requires the following skillset: • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s degree is a plus • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary • Bilingual in English and Spanish • Must be able to type at least 50 WPM • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products • Experience working in a customer service computer system • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines • Organizational skills and effective communication skills are necessary for this position • Willing to learn new skills to assist with special projects Compensation: $22 - $25+ hourly plus bonus, DOE
