A national labor and employment law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for its St. Louis office. This onsite role provides direct support to attorneys handling defense litigation before administrative agencies and state/federal courts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage office correspondence, including calls, emails, and scheduling
- Assist attorneys with litigation discovery, hearings, arbitrations, and trials
- Perform bates numbering, redactions, and e-filing in state and federal courts
- Process expense reports and review attorney time entries
- Proofread and format legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations
- Oversee conflict checks and client intake
- Prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining professionalism
Qualifications:
- Typing speed of at least 65 WPM
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum four years of defense litigation experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and e-filing
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
