JDS Law, Inc. is looking to immediately hire a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our dynamic legal team and help our incredible clients with their estate planning, trust administration, probate litigation, and employment law issues. The Legal Assistant will take primary ownership of administrative support functions, including managing confidential and time-sensitive projects that demand precision and exceptional quality. Responsibilities: • Maintain organized, accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client files in hard copy and electronic formats. • Monitor, prioritize and respond to incoming communications, including mail, deliveries, and e-mail. • Work with paralegal to maintain the firm litigation calendar, schedule court appearances, and stay on top of filing deadlines. • Produce high quality legal documents in MS-Word and prepare for signing. • Prepare slide presentations and seminar handouts. • Manage office supplies inventory and keep office equipment operational. Qualifications: • At least 3 years’ recent work experience as an administrative assistant, secretary or executive assistant to professionals in an office setting is an absolute must. Strong preference for candidate with recent law firm experience. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required. • Top-notch follow-up and follow-through skills required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 skills, including MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint. • Current working knowledge of Clio Grow and/or Clio Manage or other client relations management software or law practice management software preferred. • High School Diploma. Compensation: $22 - $26 hourly
