Position Overview:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years of experience in employment law litigation, specifically in class actions. If you are a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for law, we want you to be a part of our fast-growing firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle court filings (complaints, motions, pleadings) in State and Federal court
Correspond with new leads and conduct initial intake
Draft legal correspondences, serve discovery, and deposition notices
Manage calendars for hearings, deadlines, and other key tasks
Reserve hearings, court/deposition reporters, and order transcripts
Follow up with court personnel and legal vendors about filings and status
Schedule Court Calls and other remote appearances
Organize and maintain case files and documents
Perform additional administrative tasks as needed
Book travel for attorneys
Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVE 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant.
Familiarity with State and Federal court rules, filing procedures, and calendaring
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and case management software
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
