    Well-established family law firm seeking legal assistant in Dallas. This position includes administrative work as well as legal work. We need someone who can hit the ground running. We are willing to train some, but not on everything. You are expected to come in with some minimum knowledge, below. You will be expected to help manage a caseload, and there is an opportunity for bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability. This position is in-person. Responsibilities: • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly • Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department • Work with attorneys and paralegals to create various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when requested This position includes administrative work as well as legal work. Responsibilities include answering phones; billing input, management, and monitoring; client interaction; file organization; preparing exhibits; some legal drafting; general office duties; and assistance to Attorney regarding cases. You will be working directly with clients on tasks including compiling necessary information. We stress quality, attention to detail, and client attention over raw billable hours. Qualifications: • Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment • Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Must be able to type at least 50 WPM • Proficient with MS Office products • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills • At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks • The ideal candidate will have and be: • Detail-oriented • Self-managing • Ability to prioritize and follow through, remaining calm under pressure • Strong work ethic • Experience with filing, Prodoc/FormBuilder Compensation: $32,000 - $50,000 yearly
