Connect Staffing has partnered with an Atlanta law firm to search for a Legal Assistant to support their Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy practice. This role provides direct support to a small group of attorneys while also assisting other legal assistants with overflow work. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in e-filing with state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support, including drafting correspondence, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
- Handle e-filing in state and federal courts and assist with case filings and document preparation.
- Assist with billing, expense reports, and general case management.
- Collaborate with other legal assistants to ensure seamless workflow and support across the team.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm (creditors’ rights/bankruptcy experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of court e-filing procedures and legal administrative support.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal document management systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
- Notary public commission in Georgia (or willingness to obtain within three months).
