We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal with experience in litigation.     Responsibilities Include:

    · Handle communication with clients, witnesses, etc.

    · Monitor deadlines and maintain calendar for cases and attorneys;

    · Ensure proper indexing and filing of original legal documents;

    · Transcribe, type and file basic legal documents and correspondence.

    · All aspects of litigation case management including the discovery process, tracking and communicating case-related dates/deadlines and information, and trial preparation.

    · Preparation of initial discovery (i.e. interrogatories, request for production, request for admissions, etc.)

    · Preparation of all materials needed for depositions, mediations and trials (including deposition summaries.

    · Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents;

    · Database maintenance; locate and develop case relevant information;

    · Answer phone calls.

    Qualified Applicants Will Have :

    · 3+ years of working experience as Legal Assistant experience in a law firm setting is required.

    · Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.

    · Working Knowledge and experience of E-filing in both State and Federal Court systems;

    · Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and good judgment.

    · Analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make decisions regarding daily work;

    · Excellent communication skills;

    · Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.

    · Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    · Must be a team player and able to collaborate with others.
