Responsibilities: Legal & Case Management: • Assist with drafting legal documents, including notices of appearance, summons, complaints, and subpoenas. • Organize case files, manage client documents, and prepare large bookmarked PDFs using Adobe Acrobat. • Enter financial data into Family Law Software and draft net worth statements. • Prepare and submit uncontested divorce packets and handle e-filing through EDDS and NYSECF. Administrative & Client Support: • Manage attorney schedules, court dates, and client meetings. • Track new client intake, follow up on leads, and maintain case progress records. • Facilitate document signings, notarizations, and ensure a welcoming office environment. • Oversee billing, invoicing, and office organization. Court & Compliance Coordination: • Request adjournments from the Court and opposing counsel. • Oversee service of legal documents and manage document tracking. • Assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Notion to streamline workflows. Qualifications: What We’re Looking For • Prior experience in family law is required. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong ability to multitask and work independently. • A compassionate, client-focused approach. • Proficiency in Clio, Notion, Adobe Acrobat, and Family Law Software (or a willingness to learn). Compensation: $22 - $30 hourly
