Job Description

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and case management orders.
• Assist attorneys in scheduling and preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials, including sending out notices, hiring court reporters/videographers, etc.
• Obtain, organize, and maintain medical records, imaging, bills, and other materials for client cases.
• Electronically file legal documents in Illinois State Courts
• Correspond effectively with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients.
• Provide support during legal proceedings, including coordinating case schedules, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.

Skills/attributes of successful applicants:

• Outstanding listening and communication skills
• Must have litigation experience including getting service, filing motions, calendaring court dates, and scheduling depositions.
• Ability to analyze facts and present to attorney for determination
• Familiarity with personal injury required
• Collaborative, positive attitude and respectful
• Desire to learn and grow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Qualifications

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• litigation: 5 years (Required)
• personal injury law: 5 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Chicago, IL 60602 (Required)
