    Join our esteemed estate planning law firm in Ventura, CA as a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant. Be a crucial part of our team, providing administrative and legal support to our attorneys. Help ensure the efficient operation of our practice and the delivery of exceptional client service. This position is open for both part-time and full-time candidates. Become a valuable asset to our team and contribute to our success. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation including onboarding new clients. • Preparing attorneys for consultations. • Prepare court forms, mailings and case filings. • Communicate with clients, both in-person and over the phone, addressing inquiries and providing updates on case status. • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and recordkeeping, ensuring adherence to filing deadlines. • Maintain and update the firm's case management system with accurate and up-to-date information. • Uphold client confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information. • Collaborate effectively with attorneys, fellow legal assistants, and support staff to ensure seamless workflow. • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in estate planning law. • Provide administrative support as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the firm. Qualifications: • Prior experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably in probate or trust administration or a related practice area is preferred. • Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and case management software. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research databases. • Knowledge of estate planning terminology, procedures, and regulations is a plus. • Understanding of client confidentiality and ethical standards in the legal field. • Team player with a collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly DOE
