    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist lawyers and paralegals, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. You will also communicate with clients, compile case materials, and conduct research. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented.

    Responsibilities

    Support attorneys, paralegals, clerks, and reception staff with daily administrative tasks

    Handle incoming phone calls and text messages; direct them to the appropriate team member

    Schedule attorney consultations following office procedures

    Manage client case files: onboard new clients, maintain organized files, and complete client file closure as needed

    File and scan documents into physical binders or digital files per attorney preferences

    Draft routine legal documents (e.g., Notices of Appearance, Notices of Unavailability, Stipulations, and Notices of Withdrawal); assist with additional drafting as requested

    Accept client payments and submit them to the billing department in accordance with internal procedures

    Make bank deposits as needed

    Maintain and request office and kitchen supplies as needed

    Ensure completion of daily and weekly cleaning tasks:

    Oversee office cleanliness, including kitchen and print room Perform or delegate tasks such as emptying trash, tidying shared spaces, and ensuring dishes are done Ensure the office is clean and organized before the weekend

    Qualifications

    Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Customer Service role is preferred

    Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to download, upload, and organize documents via OneDrive, Dropbox, or other client-preferred formats

    Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills

    Strong multitasking and time-management abilities

    Positive team player with a willingness to assist and learn wherever needed
