As a crucial member of our firm, you will play a vital role in assisting with legal research, drafting documents, and ensuring smooth office operations. Responsibilities: • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, application packets, and contracts. • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy. • Manage case files and maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval. • Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases. • File documents with USCIS, courts, and other relevant agencies in compliance with legal procedures. • Draft correspondence and communicate effectively with clients in Spanish and English, and communicate with ICE, USCIS, and court personnel. • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for attorneys. • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, taking payments, and maintaining office supplies. Qualifications: • Bilingual in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write). • Proficient in spelling and grammar. • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents. • Proficient in legal research techniques and tools. • Excellent interviewing skills to effectively gather information from clients and witnesses. • Some knowledge of paralegal duties. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail to manage multiple cases simultaneously. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal management software is advantageous. Compensation: $15 - $18 hourly
