    Our dynamic law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and paralegals in delivering exceptional client service. In this role, you will assist with drafting legal documents, managing office communications—including phone calls, emails, and scheduling—and ensuring critical deadlines are met. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has experience in a law firm setting, and excels at prioritizing and completing daily tasks. Responsibilities: • Draft legal documents and correspondence, including client case updates and closing letters, etc., under the supervision and guidance of a professional legal administrator and criminal attorney. Proofread documents as required. • Follow all aspects of a case matter from start to finish. • Work within the firm's established policies and procedures for processing clients communications, court paperwork and internal and external documents. • Communicate on the phone with courts, agencies, vendors, current clients and potential clients. • Draft and prepare Motions for the Attorneys and track the status through to updating the clients. • Ensure client billing is processed properly using daily time records. • Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly, including but not limited to scanning, photocopying and filing. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1-2 years previous experience working in a law firm or professional office environment performing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, and use of CRM software • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times • Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products • Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position • Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs • Proficient in Mac computer OS, Apple Mail, Google Suite • Ability to work on a team • Strong customer service, listening, and problem-solving skills • College degree is preferred, but will accept significant legal work experience Compensation: $21 - $25 hourly rate
