Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide assistance to attorneys, ensuring they are able to carry out their duties. You will communicate with clients, coordinate meetings, and maintain complete and accurate files. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Communicate with clients over the phone and via email
Draft, proofread, and file or send legal documents
Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining attorneys' calendars, scheduling appointments, and compiling complex documentation
Create and maintain files
Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails to attorneys
Perform legal and background research when requested
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role is preferred
Bachelor's degree, or certification as a Legal Assistant is preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with document management experience
Excellent research skills
Experience working with multiple attorneys simultaneously
Comfortable with using Microsoft Office and Adobe
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
