Our ideal candidate will have experience in case management as a paralegal or legal assistant and is skilled in drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research. Responsibilities: • Support attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as needed • Maintain and organize all case files, and information with regard to engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with firm policies • Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements • Draft legal documents for attorney review • Conduct legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers • Assisting clients with their needs • Ability to communicate with medical providers and insurance companies • Take directions well and retain information easily • Being able to execute their own work Qualifications: • Professional case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, at a non-profit, law firm, or human services agency • Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical • Self-starter with the ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once • Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral • Comfortable with computer programs, such as spreadsheet presentation, word processing, and case management software • Fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese will be assessed during the selection process. • Competency and experience working on personal injury cases • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) • Detail-oriented • Ability to handle multiple pre-litigation cases with supervision Compensation: $44,000 yearly
