Our innovative and fast-growing law firm is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Team (happy and well-cultured with no drama) as a Legal Case Manager and work alongside attorneys to achieve our clients’ and law firm's goals. We need an effective communicator who is incredibly organized, self-motivated, and understands the processes of pre-litigation personal injury cases. Our ideal applicant will have experience in case management, client communication, and using legal software to input accurate and concise data that is organized and easy to read. Our top candidate will be skilled at drafting emails, correspondence, documents and conducting legal research as well. Responsibilities: • Opening claims with insurance (auto and health) carriers to facilitate communication • Establishing a caring and trusting rapport with clients to obtain information, treatment statuses, and answer questions • Read and analyze medical records • Understand and handle the next step in the claims process with efficiency and proactiveness • Verify medical billing balances and liens • Request reductions from medical providers where necessary • Assembling medical bills, wage loss, and documentation for a demand package • Managing client files including scanning necessary records, bills, and other related paperwork • Formulating legal documents/demand letters • Working closely with the Attorney, Paralegal, Legal Assistant • Working closely with Settlement Disbursements Qualifications: • Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral • Case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal secretary, paralegal, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency • Computer proficient - specifically with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet presentation • Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical • Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly depending upon experience
