Responsibilities: • Aid attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as requested • Create legal documents for attorney review • Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested • Review legal documents to ensure compliance with all legal requirements. • Support attorneys in all aspects of case management, including billing, tracking deadlines, and scheduling reminders. • Prepare legal documents for attorney review and coordinate with staff, clients, and outside vendors to manage caseloads. • Ensure deadlines are met and cases progress through the pipeline efficiently. • Maintain organized case files (both electronic and physical) in line with firm policies. • Manage court preparation, ensuring attorneys have everything they need well in advance. • Take initiative to resolve small case-related issues independently. • Oversee weekly Case Status meetings and provide updates on case progress. • Handle document collection, organization, and assembly for court or transaction filings. Administrative and Human resources management: • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for the legal team. • Manage the workflow and workload of support staff. • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring support team members. • Act as a liaison between the owner and the broader firm team Qualifications: • Strong background in family law paralegal work is a must. • Demonstrated case management experience in a law firm setting. • Proficiency with Google Drive, G-Suite, and MyCase. • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but a 2-year degree and paralegal certification are acceptable. High school diploma required. Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 yearly
