Our client a national supplement company seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our national supplement company in a remote capacity.

The ideal candidate will provide expert legal guidance, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate legal risks in the dynamic dietary supplement industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to management on issues related to FDA and FTC regulations, including product claim substantiation and compliance
• Draft and review commercial agreements with customers, distributors, and other partners
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and prepare for FDA inspections
• Monitor and interpret changes in local, state, and federal laws affecting the dietary supplement industryManage litigation processes and coordinate with external counsel when necessaryReview product labeling, marketing materials, and health claims to ensure compliance with FDA and FTC guidelines
• Respond to and advocate on behalf of the company to regulatory agencies, including the FDA

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in good standing with at least one state bar association
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in dietary supplement law or related fields
• In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, FTC guidelines, and the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA)Strong understanding of product liability and professional liability in the context of dietary supplements

Salary $250,000 -$300,000 plus bonus and benefits
