Job Overview The Legal Recruiter will drive the recruitment of top-tier legal professionals specifically for law firms. We seek an experienced legal recruiter, ideally with 3+ years of expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter to source and engage candidates. Candidates must be within 50 miles of Los Angeles, as this hybrid role will occasionally require in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter is mandatory, including demonstrated experience in sourcing candidates specifically through LinkedIn.
Develop and execute tailored recruiting strategies to source and attract top legal talent for specialized roles, including attorneys, paralegals, and case managers, aligned with each client’s specific needs and firm objectives.
Utilize LinkedIn, job boards, and advanced sourcing tools to identify and engage high-caliber candidates in the legal field.
Develop pipelines of pre-qualified candidates for critical roles in alignment with firm growth objectives and practice-specific needs.
Leverage recruitment automation software to streamline candidate sourcing, tracking, and engagement.
Use LinkedIn Recruiter extensively to identify, engage, and track highly qualified candidates. Other sourcing tools and job boards may also be utilized to build and manage a consistent candidate pipeline.
Implement AI-driven tools where applicable to optimize screening, scheduling, and interview processes.
Conduct detailed screenings and interviews, assessing candidates for skills, experience, and cultural fit for each client firm.
Utilize behavioral and situational interview techniques to evaluate competencies relevant to legal practice areas, including litigation, corporate, and personal injury.
Maintain effective communication with candidates, providing a high-touch experience from sourcing through onboarding.
Build and maintain relationships with law firms, understanding their specific staffing needs, culture, and long-term goals.
Act as a liaison between the firm and candidates, ensuring a smooth hiring process and timely feedback exchange.
Advise clients on market trends, salary benchmarks, and hiring best practices in the legal sector.
Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, candidate conversion rates, and client satisfaction) to continually improve the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
Prepare and present regular reports on recruitment activities, market trends, and the status of ongoing placements.
Collaborate with HR to ensure retention strategies align with firm objectives, such as career development opportunities and workplace incentives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable hiring regulations and client-specific contractual agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Legal studies or relevant certifications are a plus.
3-5 years of experience in legal recruitment or executive search for law firms, with strong expertise using LinkedIn Recruiter.
Advanced proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter is required. Familiarity with recruitment automation tools and ATS is preferred.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills; detail-oriented with a knack for matching candidates with specialized roles.
