Responsibilities: • Supports attorneys/paralegals in court filings and services in State and Federal Courts • Draft correspondence, government claims, CMC statements, and pleadings • Assist attorneys in propounding and responding to discovery • Ordering medical records/bills • Preparing and serving subpoenas • Initiating Medi-care and Medi-cal claims • Overall case management including calendaring, meeting court deadlines, ability to self-direct regarding routine and anticipated matters Qualifications: • Paralegal Certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), Adobe, Dropbox, Filevine, One Legal, Pacer and other database systems • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast paced environment • Detail oriented and able to prioritize work while managing multiple tasks simultaneously • Strong time management/work ethic and written and verbal communication skills • Pride in work, self-starter, self-disciplined • Spanish speaking a bonus Compensation: $60,00 - $80,000 depending on experience
