Reports To: Revenue Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Revision Date: 3/17/2025 Legal Strategic Partnership & Business Development Position Overview Location: Pierce and Thurston counties The Legal Strategic Partnership & Business Development is the firm's key relationship builder, responsible for strengthening partnerships with external professionals and referral sources while also supporting efforts to bring in new clients. Essential Duties • Identify and engage potential referral partners, including legal professionals, financial advisors, and mental health professionals • Implement strategic plans for developing and maintaining referral relationships • Present Truce Law's services in a compelling way to prospective partners • Organize and host networking events, workshops, and business partner meetings • Travel throughout Pierce, Thurston, and Southern King counties to conduct in-person meetings with referral partners and potential clients • Track and analyze partnership performance metrics using CRM systems • Maintain detailed records of partner interactions and referral outcomes • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless referral process • Provide regular reports on partnership development efforts • Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activities • Guide pre-qualified leads through consultative sales conversations with compassion and empathy, assessing their legal needs, educating them on relevant services, helping them understand the urgency of their situation, and facilitating their decision to engage the Firm’s collaborative approach Qualifications: Required: • 1+ years of business development or relationship management experience • 1+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably in professional services • Proven track record in building and maintaining professional relationships • Strong presentation and public speaking skills • Excellence in written and verbal communication • Experience using CRM systems for performance tracking • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally Preferred: • Experience in the legal industry or professional services • Knowledge of the Washington State legal community • Event planning experience • Professional networking certification • Knowledge of legal ethics and referral regulations • Experience in consultative sales of high-value services Technical Skills: • CRM software proficiency • Google Suite experience • Presentation software experience • Social media proficiency for professional networking Work Environment & Physical Demands This position involves a mix of in-office work and external meetings. The role requires local travel to networking events, partner locations, and client meetings. Some evening and weekend availability is needed for networking and business development activities.
