Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor
Denver Health and Fitness, a premier fitness club with two locations in Denver, NC, is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to join our Group Fitness and Small Group Training programs. Ideal candidates will have strong customer service skills and the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead large groups. We're looking for individuals eager to learn, grow their expertise, and make a meaningful contribution to our community.
As we expand our offerings to include at least three new Les Mills programs at both locations, we invite those already certified—or interested in becoming certified at our expense—to apply. Certification classes begin soon, and we'd love to discuss opportunities with you.
Applicants must be 18 years or older, hold a current nationally recognized Group Exercise Certification, and be willing to instruct a minimum of 2 classes per week.
As a Les Mills Certified Group Fitness Instructor, you will provide cutting-edge group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes to promote fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead engaging and effective group fitness classes in various modalities based on certifications.
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
Adapt classes to accommodate participants of all fitness levels and ages, from 9 to 90 years old.
Stay up-to-date with current fitness trends and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate class times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Foster a sense of community and encourage member retention through excellent customer service and relationship-building.
Ensure the safety of all participants by following proper exercise techniques and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with the fitness management team to develop and improve class offerings.
Physical ability to promote fitness and complete the workout
Competencies / Qualifications
Must be assertive, enthusiastic, and punctual
Must be 18 years or older
Must hold or be willing to certify in Les Mills training
Must hold a current, nationally recognized CPR certification
Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
Maintain positive relationships with members and encourage class attendance.
Must have strong communication skills, and respond well to questions
Must be patient and comfortable dealing with all types of people
Ability to lead and motivate
Dedication to maintaining personal integrity and one’s own health and fitness
Ability to teach multiple formats- Preferred
Willingness to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
Adhere and promote DHF core values.
