Led by a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), our team focuses on the unique challenges of managing pain while supporting mental health, fostering long-term recovery, and enhancing quality of life.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Counselor to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a counselor who has experience working with patients suffering from chronic pain and understands the complex relationship between mental health and physical well-being. As a part of our collaborative care model, you will work closely with our PMHNP and other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality therapeutic services to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to patients dealing with chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, and other co-occurring mental health issues.
Collaborate with the PMHNP and other medical professionals to create integrated treatment plans.
Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or other relevant modalities.
Conduct assessments and maintain thorough documentation of patient progress.
Help patients develop coping skills and strategies for managing the psychological aspects of chronic pain.
Educate patients on the mental health and emotional impact of chronic pain, including strategies for mindfulness, relaxation, and stress reduction.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
-Assist with integrative wraparound therapy for Ketamine treatment recipients.
Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Experience in working with individuals managing chronic pain or similar conditions preferred.
Strong understanding of the intersection between mental health and physical health.
Proficient in providing evidence-based therapies, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, or other therapeutic models.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Ability to manage a case load effectively and independently.
