We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Embalmer to join our fast-paced mortuary service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing embalming and restorative art; This role requires attention to detail, respect for the deceased, and adherence to all health and safety regulations. Responsibilities: • Perform embalming, disinfecting, and preservation procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations. • Apply restorative art techniques as needed. • Maintain accurate records of all embalming procedures, chemicals, and case details. • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local health department regulations. • Handle decedents with dignity and respect throughout the preparation process. • Monitor and maintain embalming equipment, tools, and chemicals. • Support mortuary operations by handling removals and transfers as needed. • Communicate with funeral directors regarding special requests or restoration needs. • Adhere to proper infection control and biohazard safety protocols. Qualifications: • Valid Embalmer’s License in the State of Texas. • Completion of an accredited Mortuary Science program. • Embalming experience (preferred, but recent graduates will be considered). • Knowledge of embalming chemistry, anatomy, and restorative art. • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle delicate situations with care. • Physical ability to lift and move decedents as required. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills. • You will be asked to demonstrate your skills and knowledge during the interview process. Compensation: $20 - $28 hourly
