We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. As a Journeyperson Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings (with an emphasis on our residential projects at this time). This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
This is a day in the life....
Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, etc.
Receive and complete work orders.
Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
Maintain inventory of Adams tools, equipment, and materials.
Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
Respond to emergency calls as needed.

Working in other areas of the Service Department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff in other trades or to perform duties associated with light construction projects.
Requires flexibility and understanding that all team members may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Adams team.
This is what you'll need to bring to the table (requirements):
Plumbing Credentials:
Wisconsin Journeyman Plumber License
Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations the past 5-years)
Other skills that you must have:
Excellent customer service and sales skills
Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques
Some post-high school education from college, trade school or military
Exhibit an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Plumbing trades
The ability to read, interpret, utilize and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to Plumbing systems
Technical aptitude with knowledge of local plumbing codes and an ability to use resources at hand to find solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments
Good computer technical skills: knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation.
Possess a strong personal desire for improvement;
Have a clean, neat and professional appearance; a top performer who can instill pride of workmanship in himself and in others
Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule: nights, weekends and holidays as/if required
Physical and other Requirements:
Must be able to stand, bend, twist and lift more than 70 pounds periodically throughout the shift
Must be able to pass a lift test
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Schedule:
The schedule for this role is primarily Monday – Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients.
