We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities: • Assist with intervention for patients when a crisis occurs • Recommend community services or specialists for patients and family members in need • Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members • Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients • Evaluate patients’ circumstances on a regular basis and provide necessary follow-up care • Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations for clients and their families • Provide counseling and psychotherapy services to achieve treatment goals, reduce symptoms, and improve functioning Qualifications: • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills • High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent; masters degree preferred • Requires CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications • Current and unrestricted state license as an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) or equivalent • 1-3 years in a clinical setting working with mental health patients is required • Independent licensure or close to sitting for exam - LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PSYD, etc. • Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Psychology Compensation: $60 - $85 hourly based on billing
