  • Responsibilities

    We are actively seeking a compassionate mental health therapist for our clinic who is committed to therapeutic excellence for our patients. You will be responsible for doing diagnostic assessments, making customized treatment plans with goals and objectives, providing crisis intervention as needed, and following up with patients to ensure they are receiving appropriate ongoing care. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of clinical experience working with mental health patients as well as a current LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) license. Responsibilities: • Determine the status of patients mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members • Develop specific therapy plans with goals and objectives for individual patients • Offer community resources or specialists to patients and family members who are experiencing difficulties • Provide crisis intervention as needed • Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care • Maintain a caseload of 25-30 clinical hours/per week • Keep all case files organized and up to date • Must be available some evenings • Attend monthly staff and case consultation meetings Qualifications: • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting • Current and unrestricted state license as an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor) or equivalent • Additional certifications required: CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support) • High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or equivalent; masters degree preferred • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical ability as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are needed Compensation: $50 - $75 hourly
