Our clinic is looking for a caring mental health therapist dedicated to providing the best possible therapeutic service to our patients. You'll be in charge of doing diagnostic evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans with goals and objectives, offering crisis intervention when needed, and following up with patients to ensure they're getting the best care possible. The ideal applicant will have 1-3 years of clinical experience treating mental health patients and a current LMHC license (licensed mental health counselor). Responsibilities: • Use patient medical information, interviews, observation, and testing as well as collaboration with other staff members to determine a patient’s mental health status • Monitor each patient situation on a frequent basis and offer the appropriate follow-up care • Refer patients and family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary • Provide crisis intervention as needed • Create individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each patient • The clinician is expected to schedule 27 direct therapy hours per week (full-time) and 15 hours direct therapy hours (part-time), once they have established a steady caseload (via telehealth). • The clinician should be available for scheduling based on the preferred appointment times for the adult population. This usually requires a variety of offerings including morning, mid-day, and evening hours. • Therapists are expected to conduct approximately 4 - 6 hours of direct clinical services per day, though some choose to schedule more. In our experience, the time it takes for a provider to build and maintain a caseload varies based on a number of factors. Credentialing with insurance companies typically takes 90 days. • You can create your own schedule. We currently provide hybrid services. Most services are online. • Consistent stream of clients as we are paneled with 10 different insurance companies/EAP Programs and have private pay clients as well; allowing for clinicians to build up their caseload immediately. • Clinicians are Not responsible for billing or finding their own clients. We do all the hard work for you! Qualifications: • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills • State licensure that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing for a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) or equivalent • Must have 1-3 years of mental health experience in a clinical setting • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field; preference to those with a master’s degree • CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required • Must be licensed to practice in the state of California as an LMFT, LCSW, or Psychologist. • Must own a laptop computer with version 2010 or newer Microsoft Word and Excel. • Must be proficient in the following computer programs and technology: Microsoft Word (e.g., creating tables, tracking changes, saving a word document as PDF, neatly formatting text); Excel (basic operation); Electronic Health Records (EHR) for appointment tracking and reminders; Microsoft Outlook; Wireless printing and scanning (e.g., downloading and installing a printer driver, configuring a new printer in your computer settings, scanning a document to save on your computer). • Must be a quick learner and comfortable utilizing online scheduling/client management programs. • Must have excellent writing skills. • Must be comfortable with telehealth services. • Must have excellent customer service and phone communication skills. Compensation: $70 - $80 hourly
