Licensed Occupational Therapist (Minimum of one year experience)
Speech Pathways of St. Johns is a growing, family-owned Speech Language Pathologist & Occupational Therapy practice located in Jacksonville, FL. Our mission is to help as well as we can in our area. We are looking to expand our current team of Occupational Therapists. Our therapists are required to screen for potential occupational needs, perform evaluations, provide therapy services in daycares, in the office, possible home locations and also instruct social skills groups. While we provide services to all ages, the majority of our clientele is pediatrics. Pediatric experience is required. The qualified candidate will have the flexibility to make their own schedule and have their own means of transportation. The position will start as part time (ALREADY HAVE SEVERAL PATIENTS {14 hours+} WITH NEED TO INCREASE) with the possibility to grow to full time as case load increases, our caseloads grow pretty fast. We would love to grow this caseload to a full caseload. As an Occupational Therapist, you should have excellent communication (with co-workers and patients) and organizational skills.
The position currently has clients on Tuesdays from 1-5ish and Thursdays from 8:45-5ish. We have other clients waiting to be seen on other days as well.
This is a contractor position where rates are negotiable
Pay: $50-60.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
Candidates must be licensed in the state of Florida, have a valid NBCOT, and be able to fully pass a level two background check. Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of children with a variety of developmental, fine motor, self-care, and feeding delays. It would be a plus if you were comfortable with sensory integration.

Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist, you will be meeting with several patients in a day, discussing their treatment needs and ultimate goals, and crafting customized, comprehensive therapy plans for them. The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable handling multiple different cases at a time.
Responsibilities
Meet with patients from many different backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needs
Conduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patient
Create a therapy plan specific to each patient that will help them meet their mobility goals
Work closely with other members of each patient’s care team to provide adequate follow-up care
Maintain excellent records of patient therapy and progress
Qualifications
Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Good attention to detail
The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients
